Sarita Bindal Social Welfare Society (SBSWS) is a non-government organisation (ngo) working in the field of education and holistic development of children and young adults of underprivileged communities at Velocity III, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It has registered Shiksha Sarovar under its umbrella, through which it aims to help these young students understand that education is the only way to help them improve their lives and that it will open doors to opportunities which otherwise would not be open at all.
We provide after school educational assistance, and encourage them to engage more deeply in self development by exposing them to a variety of skills and experiences. We do this by supplementing education through extracurricular activities, training programmes, seminars and workshops for more rounded growth and development that goes beyond classroom learning to encourage and promote literacy and to propagate life skills education in the children and youth that would enable them to determine the course of their lives and contribute to a better and more equitable world.

Sarita Bindal Social Welfare Society was started by Sarita Bindal in 2012 for the children of her house staff. She has been working with underprivileged children in Indore for more than 10 years. Today, SBSWS supports 30 children. It would not have been possible without with the immense support provided by family, friends and well wishers.
“My job is not to prepare students for something. My job is to prepare them for anything.”
She has been joined by various volunteers and professionals actively contributing to the cause.
